It gives teachers a chance to work with a specially trained team of poets. It also provides lessons plans, information about poets and lots more besides. www.poetryclass.net Special Needs Family Friendly Fun is a site dedicated to children with disablilities of all kinds. Its aim is to enhance the quality and enjoyment of life for families with special needs. This is a large and comprehensive site and definitely worth a look. It features mainly adult poetry (very good - if you yourself are an aspiring poet) with some children's poetry. But it does have a very good and useful resources section. Schoolsnet. If you haven't visited this site you should. It reviews a huge selection of poetry books, lists every UK school, has a jobs section and lists nearly 200 other educational websites. It is particularly good for key stage three. http://www.schoolsnet.com
Bookspread is a bookshop in South London where teachers, parents and children can order, buy and see good books for school and home. It also acts as an agency should you be after a storyteller, poet or illustrator to visit your school. http://www.bookspread.co.uk
