Attack on the Twin Towers
The following poems have all been submitted as a response to the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers in New York on September 11th 2001. This section is now closed. No more poems, please. Let us simply remember the victims and their families in our prayers and look to this new year with a prayer for peace.

9-11 by Leana Macrito (aged 11)

The day the twin towers came crashing down,
It nearly gave everyone a really big frown.
How dumb could they be to do such a thing,
My ears were ringing and my heart was stinging.
I was watching the news at that very time,
I couldn't speak and I felt like a mime.
Today it still pierces my heart to hear,
That some people still have lots of tears.
I feel very sorry that all those peopled died,
I used to just sit there and cry.
I try to put it all in the past,
But it catches up to me very fast.
I wrote this poem in memory of the 9-11 attack on America.

Angels Hear Their Plea! by Eileen Combes

Angels way up high,
Can you hear all the yelling and cries?
Do you hear their prayers of the mayors
Living in a world which once was at peace
Where there were no evil souls to cease?
Angels up high have heard us lie
As a sin
So we would not give in,
To the Satan-like lord below,
So we may each have love to grow,
Angels up high

Are there too many of us who lie, and sin
And not be forgiven?
Is this punishment?
Peace we declared,
Through the world,
But we found they have still glared,
Angels up high hear our plea
And hopefully we'll all be grateful to thee.

9-11 by Samantha Green

A peaceful, calm morning
The temp. was just right
Love and peace
No hatred in sight

Tears by Karis (aged 12)

Tears
Trickle slowly down,
Eventually they stop,
Air planes
Remind us, and again I start,
So many people died on just one day.

We Won by Amy Harris (aged 9)

Wow, freedom at last it feels like it just started.
I can't believe it is now done but finally we won.
It's over, it's done
Finally we won.
September 11th we will not forget.
America is still united.
Finally we got through to them
We won't give up until we win.
And now I'm done and I'm so happy we finally won.

What Is Going On? by Marie (aged 12)

What has happened to the world around us
in which we live?
Why are we so hurtful and pretending
that America wasn't taught better?
Why such tragedy?
We should have some sense that we should act the same
and get on with the way we were
before we were attacked on September 11th.
Everybody knows how it feels to lose a loved one,
but this is America.
What about the story of the Star-Spangled Banner?
While the wars were taking place,
Every wood burned down,
The only flag that had wood that was standing
was the American flag.
That means something.
That means that we are strong,
Our nation is strong and it sticks together.
We need to stop this losing control over the world,
and start working like a nation.
Hope this whole tragedy will end soon.
Hope that everyone who reads this
Will have an understanding why I wrote this.
In God We Trust.
God Bless America please.

Attacks by Karis (aged 12)

All is peaceful, all is calm,
then suddenly, as if by trigger,
the tower starts to fall!
Then comes another!
Screaming people start to run,
up and down the streets!
Some are free, but many fall.
Just like the towers that used to stand tall.

Hope and Faith by Ashley (aged 12)

If you think back,
To the troubled times of long ago,
You will remember,
All the death, sickness and woe

From all the wars the world has waged,
Why must people cause so much pain?
If all the world had peace and harmony,
We would all truly gain.

World War 2 was supposed to end the fights,
Terrible, endless nights,
And now we are fighting again,
Can another war help the future,
Or devastate it in the end?

We, the children, must have hope and faith,
It may be too late to stop the fighting,
But we must not hate,

Just keep the faith.

War by Jason McKenzie

people dying
families crying

people risking lives
others hoping they survive

what does war solve nothing
we have to do something

to stop the hate
because love is such a better fate

we’re all human
so stop the booming

I don’t like war
I don’t want people to hurt anymore

we need to all join hands
who cares if your from another land

so stop the fighting
and start reuniting

Where are you now? by Jeminai

You think you won
but you lost.
You think you’re strong
but your not.
You think you accomplished something,
but you didn't.
So where are you now?
Are you running because you know we’re after you?
You think you’ve proved yourself?
Well you have.

You've proved yourself a coward.
Know this,
We'll hunt you down like the dog you are.
We're after you with a passion,
With a flame that won't be put out until we succeed,
We will avenge those who died.
You woke up the "sleeping giant" this time
We're coming after just as fierce as the first time.
And I promise you,
On the blood of those who brought this country forth,
WE WILL PREVAIL!

Taking Advantage by Carmen Brandauer

I take advantage of the things I have
yet, what about those who have nothing...

No one can know the feeling of losing everything,
until everything is gone...

No one thinks it will happen to them,
until it actually does.

It disturbs and pains me to know that lives have been taken
And losing so many at once is deeper than I can say

Those who survived were fortunate and blessed
to live on with their lives...

Changed forever.

Fighting by Carmen

Why are the people of our country
so cruel to those of others?
Why do we keep fighting the things
we have already won?
There are children
There are fathers
There are sisters and
There are brothers.
Who does the fighting?
Everyone does.
Fighting through pain
Through suffering
Through loss.
Fighting each other.
Will it ever stop?
Will it ever end?
Do you think others have asked
themselves these questions?
Even our enemies may turn out
to be more like us then we thought.

The USA by Tia Marshall (aged 11)

As we watch the twin towers go down
Our tears rush to the ground
As some go to the scene and help
Others ran for their lives
We were one world
But no we separate and divide
Into half a world
Because of Bin Laden's lies
He thought we would fall
Instead we stand proud and tall
We joined together to lend a hand
In New York there is a lot of pain
Here in Nederland we feel the same
We're helping out as much as we can
Not just here, but all over the land
We're coming together slowly
Now we are as good as new
We are the USA

9-11-01 by Megan Weiss

"Someone please help me find my baby girl."
"This is making me sick to my stomach I think I'm going to hurl."
"Why does this man want to take our lives away?"
Those were some of the words that people cried out on that sad day
"Whoever did this to us is going to pay,"
Thought the saddened people of USA

This evil man wanted the USA to turn on each other and fight
Instead this tragedy made the people unite
He didn't get what he wanted at all
And now America is going to make him fall
He doesn't care at all about how many people are dying
And he laughs at the thought of people crying

What this man is and does is vile
He would do anything to take away someone's smile
What he did to us isn't fair
What does he think we’re not going to care?
We’re not going to sit on our butts and pout
Instead were going to get in our planes and take him out

"United we stand, United we fall,"
Is what people were hearing from Market to Mall
The American Flag is seen on every car, bus, and train
So together we will deal and fight with the pain
We will continue to go on with our lives
Even though some husbands are missing their wives
Some kids don't have any parents to hold
But still they continue to be bold
So together we will show this man
That he can bomb up out towers and blow up our land
But still he cannot take away the comfort of our Gods hand

The Flag by Caitlin Lightner (aged 8)

Waving at the pole's tip top,
Is a flag to make you stop.
Running across left to right,
Stripes of red and of white.
In the corner, clear to view
Stands a field of darkest blue.
Taken together for one and all,
It's the American flag standing tall.

United We Stand by Roccele Okolowski (aged 12)

On September 11th the Twin Towers fell
Liberty will now ring its bell,
The Afghans won't stop us, we will stay strong
and nothing else will prove us wrong
In memory of those who lost their lives
Their loved ones, children, husbands and wives
We will pray every day
Hoping peace will come our way,
Knowing God will be by our side
We have to fight
We cannot hide,
Our love was lost in horrible pain
And all those lives went down in vain.
We're number one and that we'll stay
Knowing that we'll be OK.

War by Gemma Hamill
War: noun 1. Strife involving military,
naval or air attacks
2. Open hostility between people

War is needless
Hated by many
Unwanted by most.
War is unfair
Innocent destroyed
Compassion decimated.
Due to a few
A few who have lost all sanity
Who permit and delight in war
There is no worthy reason,
Why so many lives have been lost
Other than a pathetic attempt to prove power
Prayers and thoughts go out to families and friends
Who's loved ones lives were brought to such a hateful end
Prayers and thoughts go out to America.

When the Sun Sets into the Sky by Melissa Tamati (aged 10)

When the sun sets into the evening sky,
The birds fluttered and said goodbye,
This would be the last night
That they would fly.
For, unaware, the people in New York
A Disaster would strike,
The Pentagon would be bombed,
Lives would be taken,
And hearts would be broken.
Tragedy and sorrow
Filled the air
Mixed with joy and relief,
From the people who survived in there.
People pouncing,
From 18 stories high,
Falling, falling, wishing they could fly,
But sadly plunge to their bloody death.
And now bottled up inside,
Are the emotions of family members,
Whose relations didn’t survive
Anger, hate, despite terror
All hidden inside their souls,
And will remain there for as long as they live.

Ghost Town by Ruthie Elizabeth Chapman

Manhattan,
the place where dreams are made,
now a ghost town.

The big apple,
a place of hope and promise,
destroyed beyond repair.

New York,
the capital of the world,
in ruins.

But we will move on,
we will fight for the right of freedom,
freedom not to be scared.

Because in our darkest hour,
we found hope!

That Day by Jetson Leder-Luis (aged 9)

That day
That event
It happened so quickly
Yet it's still here
Taunting us minute by minute

When one experiences such a thing
It hurts on the inside
And your mind is crying

For life is precious and one must know that
Or one could waste their life
And that is another tragedy

And every tragedy is a pain
And that pain can last forever
The pain lasts inside one's mind, body and soul

And it makes us think
But we didn't think in time
That's why it happened

I Didn’t Understand At First by Amanda W. (aged 11)

I didn't understand at first
All I knew was something had gone wrong.
They wouldn't tell us what
In fear that we're too young.

By the time I got home
I was watching on TV.
I knew then what had gone wrong
I wanted to cry horribly.

Yet being in so much pain
I couldn't cry at all.
Now because of these people's dreadful ways
Innocent people are gone.

Now that we have come together
Even those little ones
who don't very well understand.
We all proudly say GOD BLESS THE USA.

Good-byes and Hellos by Laura Rodriguez (aged 11)

Goodbye the souls left hello you’re an angel pest,
oh no you want to go home
"Oh, how old are you?"

you died but your body is still there
too bad terrorist still scare
oh well the war began the time is know to take a stand
we need to live for free

or else we should call our selves thee

unfree to always be don't fight
for the stars of the fifty states
which are already there but if it is to be?
or else the red white and blue will never stand tonight.

America, America by Danielle Hernandez (aged 12)

The land they said would never fall.
But we have fallen and we need help, God, please help us all!
Our country was turning its back,
So you awakened us with a smack.
Dear Lord, descend your hand upon us,
For You are the only one we can trust.
Lord, be with us, this helpless nation
And lead us not into temptation.
You have opened our eyes
And reminded us that You should be glorified!
We understand your promise,
So please send your mercy and grace upon us.
We have been hurt severely,
Even though You love us dearly.
Why did this happen to us?
Especially by the one we trust.
It is up to us, You say,
If we will just humble ourselves and pray,
And seek your face and turn from sin.
Then You will hear the cry of our souls from within.
So if we do this, then,
We will be forgiven,
And You will heal us and heal our land
With your mighty hand.
What a tragedy that has happened to New York City and the Pentagon.
What chaos there would be if You were not in the world today,
If people would not humble themselves and pray.
Or seek your face
With amazing grace.
Our world would be lost without You, Lord.
Men would kill men by the sword.
But rather we worship you
In all that we do.
And lift up your name
Which has no spot or stain.
As people come together as one,
For whom you sent your only Son.
For we are not worthy of such a sacrifice,
But You did it because you are Christ.
You've loved America even when we've turned away.
You have loved us day by day.
Oh, America, now you can see
That Christ died for you and me!
The War Has... Started by Laura Rodriguez (aged 12)

'tis the day
the war begins
the day the earth is filled with grim
we do not laugh
we do not play
lives are lost unlike yesterday
children hide
others cry
for daddy's gone or brother, too
how do the people react?
we will see the future
will bring what is right
for the red, white and blue
will shine tonight

Q33NY by Nasir Uddin (aged 12)

Part 1 ( A terrorist's point of view)

I will complete my task
even if it means to kill
I will be wearing a mask
To complete the Almighty's will
I don't think of the people who die
As I will already be dead
Under the debris true Americans will lie
It was not my idea, I was lead
I can't care if there's a war
I can't care if the leader dies
As God will open the Golden door
Up I will arise like an Angel in the skies
For I am a Taliban
What will happen?
We will win because we can.

Part 2 ( A victim's point of view)

Oh Lord, Why is this happening to me?
I am only twenty-seven
I have a child to be
Is it my turn to go to heaven?
I have a wife
She is only twenty-four
She is my life
Oh Lord,
I cannot afford to lose her
For she is the most loved to me
I am going to be a Father
She holds the Diamond key
Oh Lord, why is this happening to me
I am going to be a Father, I have a child to be.

What Happened? by Brittaany (aged 10)

My teacher told me.
Where did you hear?
Oh my gosh!
Those were the twin towers.
The pentagon.
Where is Bush?
He is not in the White House.
He's okay.
Everything's cancelled.
I am scared.
Me, too.
It will be alright.
Mom, People are dying.
I know.
It is on every station,
Every channel.
What can I do?

New York Tragedy by Nicole Chu (aged 10)

Planes crashing everywhere
Screaming, hollering
Smoke filled the air
Worrying, hope
Buildings falling killing
Falling ashes and people

What Does America Mean to You? by Haley Parker (aged 12)

It means that a brave man died for my freedom.
It means that strong soldiers fought for my life.
It means that men didn't give up
because they wanted to buy land for my home.

It means that a man created food and shelters for me.
It means that a man invented light for me to read my BIBLE.
It means that a man created a safe way
to watch television or listen to a radio.
It means that a man risked his life
using chemicals for modern technology.

It means that thousands of men and women
died just to save another living soul.
I means that our president has love and affection for his people.
It means that brave soldiers once again defended their country.
But the main thing it means
is that the Eagle still flies over her
with only a single tear
knowing that its country is being destroyed
but still fighting back.

Angels Working Overtime by Gwen Gillon

Crashing, burning, screaming, crying.
Metal falling into mounds.
The plane hits and then that's it!
The 2 tall buildings, gone.
Lives were taken, souls awakened all of this?
Why? Maybe its for a reason.
Maybe it is just hatred.
Angel solders come down quickly,
to find a wreck in the city
They rush and rush to get help quickly! A
As the fire fighters arrive, tears flow from their eyes
to find only metal, fire and papers left behind.
Bodies lie there,
no-one moves, their souls were taken from the world.
Peace and freedom turn into doubt after all that's happened,
our Angels are working over time.
*God bless us all*

Attack on America by Caswell Macomber (aged 10)

Stutter in the dust.
At hand over the mouth.
Gave a knife up, gave tons of lives up.

Falling in the wheezes of the squeeze.
The angers lit up, the stress is wrapped up.
Turning red and plural of words gone.

Falling in those ticks as you're touched by the bricks.
Pointing at swords written in blushes of the pain.
You never want to feel like they did this thing.

Shaping the help. We stand and pray for bless.
Feeling like you did that wrong. Feel our spirits song.
Poured out in sadness, poured out in gladness.

I'm colored in smears of life gone black,
setting our faces, watering your eyes back.

The Day We Thought Would Never End by Kari Shawaluk

We hear the people cry.
We see them hurt.
We watch them grieve over their lost ones
Here we are not knowing how to help.
And why do we want to help?
Because it's our nation
and we just want to give a helping hand.
So as we stand here as one,
we still grieve over lost ones,
even though they are not family,
we still have lost.
We thought that is was the end
but when God comes to our nation's cries
we stand side by side and don't stop.
Now we seek justice,
We can't - there's so much anger.
Sit here and pray that may be someday
there will be peace and love between all countries.
That's our hopes and dreams.
When we start hating we will show them
that they won and we lost
but if we stay strong and show them
that in the end our love is to strong
as one and we will win.

Never to be Forgotten by Jayne Winn

The people who had done this
They simply didn't care
They took the lives of many
On ground and in the air

The swirling smoked gave darkness
The flames gave orange light
The building crashed down to ashes
Though wished with all our might

People stood with anger
Tears were flowing all around
As their prayers were left unanswered
When the building reached the ground

Across the sea in air ships
These wicked men had come
Thinking they'd be famous
But publicity gave them none

As people backed of in disbelief
In anger or in pain
The blow they'd suffered cracked like a whip
And hurt like any cane

A wild and great injustice
Has hit New York today
They'll lock up those who did this
The key they'll throw away

They can say they paid for it
But remember this day to day
To all these grieving families
The price is too steep to pay!

What's Up With The World Today by Jim Purdy
(Part of Jim's much longer poem)

It was 9 - 11 when I got the call,
The buildings were hit, and about to fall.

Thinking about the loved one's and what could easily be,
Praying to the Lord not to have another tragedy.

You say you're fighting for your people, and what's the right way,
But all you did was killed some of your own people that calm quite day.

The professionals are all coming together and the volunteers are too,
Just remember there will always be someone there for you.

The world is always gonna spin,
Even though people are only judging by the color of your skin.

People are fighting with Muslims, even though they're from the USA,
This is all just helping for Bin Laden to get his own way.

Little Brothers and sisters are crying,
Because their mom or dad is dying.

What the hell's wrong with the world today?
People killing people just to show the world their own way.

Hey Bin Laden, we'll be the only thing you ever hear,
We don't even care if it takes 2,000 years.
Were going to get Justice!

Tragedies Happen Every Day by Melissa Conwell

Refugees live in terror and dismay
Some have been helping all though day, and all through the night,
Helping the families of the injured to get through this horrible time,
Where people have decimated many lives, dreams, and families.
They have ripped families apart, killed many, wonderful people,
And they have left thousands jobless.
Some have been laid to rest,
They may not the best, but they are not the worst.

Thousands of people have died in this tragedy,
Hundreds of which died while saving lives,
Those are the people we have to never forget,
And always remember the people, who put many families back together.
Some people were found under the collapsed rubble,
Though most of them were dead they were brought to be identified,
So families could have a proper funeral for that person,

So as I conclude my poem,
My message is to honor the people who saved many lives,
And to try not to forget the people do not live in homes,
who do not have a lot of food, nor a lot of clothes, and always
Remember tragedies happen every day.

Where Is My Father? By Kathy (aged 11)

Where is my father?
He's supposed to be on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles,
I'm full of fright!
My teacher asked the children, Who had parents that worked in New York?
When he saw all of us raise our hands he merely croaked.
What had happened? I didn't completely understand
Had my teacher gone completely mad?
A plane hit the twin towers and they've now collapsed!
It's impossible, I told myself, and some kids started to cry
and others started to laugh

Where is my father?
He's supposed to be on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles,
I'm full of fright!

We all handled it in a different ways,
some of us totally ignoring what had happened,
others of us terrified and saddened,
Some kids were just plain mean because they were so unsure,

Where is my father?
He's supposed to be on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles,
I'm full of fright!

My heart started racing as I let out a gasping sob
but I looked outside the classroom window and guess what I saw?
A bunch or flowers and a cluster of trees, and a few birds singing gaily.
There were no towers falling and bodies sprawling,
no crying, no dying,
None of that did I see.
It almost felt like it didn't happen, for I couldn't see
that somewhere New York was tumbling down and bodies were being thrusted towards the ground.

Where is my father?
He's supposed to be on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles,
I'm full of fright!

I come home to my mum and my sis and they hugged me tight
and told me everything was okay.
My Dad had missed his flight and at the moment was in Atlanta
and if he hadn't he wouldn't be there.
I told them how it gave me quite a scare.

Where is my father?
He's alive and doing fine,
but the terror still creeps into the back of my mind.

America by Rachel

The disaster last week, made us think,
how mean people can be.

By the Attack we wanted to strike back
from all the evil we've seen.

From all our fears we have brought tears,
and sorrow, but we know there's tomorrow

Our Lady by Workingon10

When people see her torch they know that this
Is a free country.

When they look at her eyes they are just
Moved away from the moment.

Sometimes when you look at her with
Proudness you can see her garments
Move gently with the silent wind

Elegy by Tramaine

The sun rising, signals a new day
for the city that never sleeps.
Tall buildings in the breeze sway
while souls out of bed creep.

The morning light hits their eyes,
each day the same, but still a surprise,
a day looks beautiful in disguise.
The city noise, a slow crescendo.

A day that shall never be forgotten
has it's normal start.
Jesus, only son begotten, has a broken heart.

Ten to nine is the time.
The sound of terror starts to chime.
Two buildings hit "at the drop of a dime".
The city noise - a scream.

All inside tall twin towers
rush to get outside.
All around people cower.
They try to run and hide

The air is filled with mass confusion.
When will we wake from this illusion?
Twin towers, once a distinct protrusion,
The city noise a roar.

People jump to escape doom
from the vicious fire.
Children watch from classrooms,
seeing more than is required.

Twin towers crumble,
people stumble,
America now humbled,
The city noise a shriek.

All the world watches a city crying
in despair.
Enemies in the streets rejoicing
while all are filled with fear.

Dust is flying,
People crying
for the dying
The city noise a wail.

"Now fades the glimmering landscape on the sight,
And all the air a solemn stillness holds,
Save where the bird wheels his droning flight,
And drowsy tinklings lull the distant folds;"

A country devastated,
A culture berated,
A day fated.
The city noise now silent.

(This is a really rough draft. - not my best. I wrote it after the first time I could finally cry about WTC terrorism. I still cant believe it.. I'm in denial even though I've seen it so many times on the news. I'm just in a state of shock. Everytime I go into the east side won't be the same. The towers are gone and so are loved ones. It is a devastating thing, a terrible loss. My city will never be the same. My life will never be the same. I will never ever be the same.)

Attack on America by Nicole Anne Braganza

It is no time for war,
For repulsion and hatred, outrage,
An attack by the enemy
HE said, Love your enemies.

It is no time for destruction
Already, much harm has been done
A crime, unforgivable
HE said, Forgive them,
For they know not what they are doing.

The Day I Will Never Forget by Emma Wootton

To think,
How many lives have been lost,
I, as a child, just cannot seem to understand why.
Horrifying images,
Flashing through my mind,
And all I can do is ask the question, Why?
Coming home,
And seeing the horror on the TV,
Why? I ask, but there are no answers to my question.
The Crash,
Repeating over and over again,
Will be with me forever, along with the question, Why?

Terrorists Break Our Building As Well As Our Hearts by Jessica Whalen

Those fateful planes,
Slicing like knife through butter.
Pedestrians down below,
A shake, a shiver, a shudder.
They took away our pride,
Our faith in our nation,
With only a few weapons,
And a fiery sensation.
Our liberty came crashing down
With each dying tower.
All of this for greed,
For money, and for power.

To all the families lost and hurt,
We give you each and every tear;
In hope that soon our country,
Will help to heal our fear.
This sorrowful, painful tragedy
Will live in our minds forever.
Nothing like a funeral,
To bring a family together.

The Mad Men from Hell by Jessica Rees

This is the day,
I do recall,
that terror will rise,
and buildings will fall.

Hundreds and thousands,
were there in the tower,
not knowing that soon,
their whole lives will devour.

As city life dwelled,
in its normal rush hour,
One hijacked plane headed,
for the twin tower.

Before there was chance
to get out the building,
the plane hit the tower,
the outcome: bewildering.

You could see people calling,
from room after room,
stuck in the building,
some jumped to their doom.

Not caring that people,
were trapped there in fright,
the second of planes just
continued its flight.

Fire was rising,
panic was high,
as the first of the buildings
collapsed from the sky.

The second one also
fell just like the first.
The crowds stood in shock
by this horror outburst.

Tourists and locals
got caught in the trouble
and police and firemen
got trapped in the rubble.

Silence fell down
as the smoke filled the air,
stunned into fear,
and total despair.

Who could have done this?
but no-one can tell,
for the devil has hired,
the mad men from hell.

Streams of Tears by Kaitlyn

I see on TV, neighborhoods and in my home that tears are taking charge. I do not understand why they did this stupid thing, they hit and killed so many people and make us leave with sad in our hearts and expect us not to worry about it and go about our lives, but all I can say is this is a shame that we cannot take play in this horrific game. Yes we may be young and some are just too dumb but I want to help and give my grief out to the nation wide and let me help aloud and not keep it bottled inside.... I know we cannot fight this alone, but it is not helping the younger people if you do not let us in on our part, we may be young and too dumb but we have feelings and sure do care

Where am I? by Sandra De Witt (aged 12)

I went to school like any day waiting for recess to go and play.
This world is getting wackier and wackier I may say,
I heard the wackiest news of all, today
and now I don't want to go and play,
I want to stay at home and cry,
I want to cry my heart out
for all the people who died yesterday.
I feel like if it didn't happen but then I hear the news
and I just wanna act like if I was in the blues.
I feel so bad of leaving this bad news all to you
but I know they can fix it and that's a job to do.

THIS POEM IS DEDICATED TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES TO SAVE WHAT THEY COULD OF THEIR TWO BEAUTIFUL TOWERS AND THOSE TRAPPED INSIDE. I AM NOT AMERICAN, BUT IT HURTS INSIDE TOO. THE BUILDING CAN BE FIXED, BUT LIVES LOST CAN'T BE RECOVERED.
